About 800 years ago, a great and powerful man lived on the manor farm of Aga. His name was Sigurd Brynjulfsson. He was a knight, state councillor and judge (“Lagmann”) on the Gulating regional law court. The Lagmann cider has been named after him. For although Sigurd’s body was found headless in the fjord in 1303, he had been a clever man with a good head!
Fruity and lightly sparkling, goes with seafood, chicken, and acidic vegetable dishes. Best served cold on a hot summer’s day. Who knows, maybe that was just how Sigurd liked his cider too?
