EPLI SIDERI
Looking back
Epli Sideri's story started back in 2015 when brothers Kristian and Karl Magnus started
making apple cider and apple juice on the family farm at Sekse in Hardanger. The two
brothers then formed the company Hardangergutane. Shortly after the start-up, Kristian's wife,
Inger, joined the company.
In 2021, Inger and Kristian bought a new and larger farm on Sekse, where they have done extensive work in a short time to plant new orchards and start constructing new production premises.
A new era
In 2024, the Hardangergutane enter a new era as the production will be moved back to Sekse
in new and more suitable premises. Karl Magnus also left the company some time ago, and
Inger and Kristian have taken over the business.
These changes meant that we wanted to create a clearer identity, and that is how the name Epli Sideri was created.
Epli is an old word for apple, which in the old days was used in everyday speech in Hardanger and originates from the Viking age.
New name – the same great quality
Epli Sideri is a new company name, but the identity of our products will be easy to recognise
with the same label, product name and great quality.
