Apal Sideri produces fresh and fruity apple cider at Sæbø in Hjelmeland. Dan Olav Sæbø took over the farm in 2020 and became the first farmer in the Ryfylke region to bottle the sparkling, golden drops right on the farm.

Sæbø is located directly above Hjelmelandsvågen, the centre of Hjelmeland municipality, with a great view of the Hjelmeland fjord. Fruit has been produced here since the end of the 1800s. Around the farmyard, there are trees of Gravenstein, Red Aroma, Rubinstep, Discovery and Red Elstar. We have also made room for a few plum trees.

At the start of 2020, Dan Olav Sæbø took over the farm in Sæbø, and after 13 years as a carpenter in Stavanger, it was time to try something new. In addition to the fruit and apple juice that his parents had been producing for several years, Dan Olav was highly motivated to strengthen the business by producing apple cider.

Sølvsider was already ready for sale in February 2020, and this cider was voted the world's best sparkling cider in the prestigious competition Cider World 2020.
