NeRø gård ligger i solhellinga til Heddalsvannet og speiler seg mot Gaustatoppen i nord.
Gården har ingen lang tradisjon for fruktdyrking, det startet som så mye annet i livet som en tilfeldig interesse i 2013. Med viten om at beliggenheten her i øst-Telemark, har en klimatisk utmerkethet for frukt og bærdyrking.

Intense planning and planting of 16,000 fruit trees in the period 2016-2018 was the result. On the farm, we were already engaged in organic grain production and it was natural to continue this also in apple production. Definitely not the easiest thing to do, but you won't find cleaner raw materials. Truth be told, even before the planting of the first apple tree there was a well-developed interest in fermenting the raw materials into more noble products.

After various tests, we started investing in more professional equipment in 2018 and have really only continued after that. For fun, we started submitting our products to tests and competitions. With gold medals on our ciders barely before the ink on the sales license was dry, things have moved quickly since.

The farm is currently run by Ole Christoffer and Trine and we try to do most of the work ourselves, except for all the picking. We must admit that much of the work both with the orchard and the cider production is based as much on defiance and ignorance as on love and sunshine. But we believe that all of this together produces the most unique, honest and distinctive products. An Italian proverb says that there are two things one should not count, the number of days one has lived and the number of glasses one has drunk. We think it is good to add that there is no point in counting our own working hours either, but we feel incredibly lucky to be able to work with this every day all year round.
