GRUBBESTAD GÅRD

Grubbestad Gård is a family-run vineyard located on top of the Raet in Sandefjord, Norway. The farm was established in 2018 and has since grown into a respected player in Norwegian wine production.

The vineyard is situated on sunny, south-facing slopes with sandy soil, ideal for viticulture. This location, on the Raet formed approximately 12,000 years ago when the ice retreated, provides optimal conditions for grape growing. We cultivate a diverse selection of grape varieties, including Solaris, Rondo, Muscaris, Riesling, and Chardonnay. These are used to produce sparkling wines using the traditional method, where secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle.

In addition, we grow haskap, a blue berry with a flavor reminiscent of a mix between raspberries and blackcurrants. Haskap has been cultivated in Japan for decades and is known as "the little gift at the tip of the branch."

In 2022, we were named "Winemakers of the Year," and our sparkling wine made from Solaris grapes received the award for "Best Wine of the Year" at Norsk Vinskue.

The farm offers guided tours and wine tastings by appointment, where visitors can explore the vineyards, learn about the production process, and taste the farm’s own wines. The farm shop is open on Thursdays from 12:00 to 18:00 and offers products such as homemade haskap juice, local apple juice from Knatten, chocolate from Jentene på tunet, honey from Bievennene, cheese from Skarrebo, as well as the farm’s own sparkling raspberry wine and sparkling wine made from haskap and apples.
